As a Friend for Life, your generous donations and future planning will advance nurse anesthesiology research, education, leadership and professional development. Plan a legacy that supports the future of the profession and join an illustrious group of more than 400 members.

Please join us and become a Friend for Life. AANA Foundation's Friends for Life program recognizes a magnanimous group of supporters who donate a substantial cash gift or leave a legacy gift to the AANA Foundation to ensure a strong future for the nurse anesthesiology profession. CRNAs and others who are interested in becoming a Friend for Life can choose to donate a cash gift (within a five-year period) or a planned gift such as a bequest in their will or as a beneficiary on a retirement plan or life insurance policy.

Whether a cash gift or a planned gift, the current minimum gift commitment to become a Friend for Life is $25,000. On January 1, 2025, the minimum cash gift will continue at $25,000, but the planned gift minimum will increase to $35,000.

Friend for Life honorees are recognized with a red ribbon and medallion with the emblem of the Lamp of Learning, their name on display with Friends for Life recognition at the AANA office, and inclusion in the AANA Foundation annual report. Induction of new Friends for Life takes place at the AANA Annual Congress. To be recognized this year at the 2025 AANA Annual Congress in Nashville, please reach out to Nat Carmichael and make your commitment by June 15, 2025.

Friends for Life gifts may include one or more of the following and must be provided to the Foundation in writing:

• Designation of the AANA Foundation as Beneficiary in a Life Insurance Policy, Retirement Plan, or other Financial Instrument

• A Bequest in a Will or Revocable Trust

• Participation in a Life Income Program (such as a Charitable Gift Annuity, Deferred Payment Gift Annuity, Charitable Remainder Trust)

• A Charitable Lead Trust

• Gift of Appreciated Property such as Securities, Real Estate, and tangible Personal Property

• Cash Installments over a five-year period
